Time zone converter for any date

Pick two zones, a date and a time. The result uses the clock record of both zones for that exact date, including daylight saving time rules that were in force then, from 1900 to 2037.

How to use it

Choose the zone where the time is known, the date and the time on that local clock, then the zone you want the time in. The page address updates with your choice, so a result can be bookmarked or shared. The example above shows a week in March 2026 when clocks in New York had already moved forward but clocks in London had not yet, so the gap between the two cities was four hours instead of the usual five.

If the time you enter fell inside a clock change, the result says so: a time skipped when clocks went forward did not exist that day, and a time repeated when clocks went back happened twice, so both readings are shown.

What the numbers mean

UTC offset that day is how far the local clock stood from Coordinated Universal Time on that date. Clock on says whether the zone was on its standard time or on seasonal time, as recorded in the tz database; for a few zones, Ireland among them, the database treats winter time as the departure from standard time. The hour strip lists every hour of the chosen day in the first zone next to the matching clock time in the second.

The calculation uses this site’s own copy of the transitions from tzdata 2026f, not your device’s time zone settings. Dates after 2026 follow the rules in that release; governments can still change them. Entries before 1970 are the database’s best-effort history; see about the data.
